Empty stomachs hurt. They break concentration and make the future seem impossible. Giving food is essential to creating good health and giving energy to allow one to be prepared for work.
To do great work, you need tools. While blood, sweat and tears have built empires, classrooms still need paper and pencils, books, educational aids and sanitary supplies.
“If you teach a man to fish...” Education gives everyone the tools they need to succeed through their lives. It is far better to teach a person to fish, instead of merely giving a fish.
Maintaining healthy, happy and safe environments is an important, and often neglected part of aid work. We work closely with local community organizers and local volunteers to get productive results.
Friends, it is my deepest desire and prayer to God that you shall be blessed to come to know the peace and love that only God can supply. In today's world, there are so very many things that take our attention away from those things that we need to be concerned with for the well-being of this world and the salvation of all that are called to the truth. I sincerely ask for your prayers for all those less fortunate than ourselves, those who are suffering and in need of that love of God which can make all the difference in their world. Won't you help us to make the world a better place for all? Your support and prayers are appreciated far more than you could know. I thank you for your love, knowing that God will abundantly return that to you. God Bless each of you! Davis Juma.

At Davis Juma Foundation, we aim to rebuild hope where it’s been damaged, or lost...wherever we can in this world. We work with those in need, those who are underprivileged, and those who are underserved to rebuild and restructure. Our focus lies on community efforts, including small-scale construction protects, shelter, food aid, clean water, community awareness, and educational opportunities. We firmly believe it takes a loving heart and personal care to raise a child, and if you work on creating the most well equipped society you can, so many problems simply work themselves out.
If you live in the United States or in most developed nations, if a child were to suddenly feel ill and fall to the ground unconscious, that child will likely be in the back of an ambulance within about 10 minutes. The child would be taken to a hospital where some of the best medical professionals in the world would make it their top priority to make that child well irrespective of their ability to pay for the medical treatment they’re receiving. In some cases, if necessary, that same child may be taken by a helicopter if the need is that urgent.
In Kenya, Africa, where I live, if a child gets bit by a mosquito they risk death by malaria. This is of course assuming they don’t first die from HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, or a parasite from bad drinking water. It’s a horror story. It’s nothing new. We’ve seen the images on TV time and time again to the point of numbness. In fact, if you really think about it hard (it’s painful to do), it’s quite overwhelming. Our mission is to take our money, time and talents and distribute to them so they become more self-sufficient above and beyond basic subsistence living. For more details about who we are and what we’re trying to accomplish, please go to our ABOUT US page.
Where there are people in need, we’ll be there lending a hand, a smile, and an encouraging word.
